This manual covers safety/spotting and cueing to help you deepen your knowledge and safely guide you in and out of the postures and movements with the hammock as support. METHOD OF FLIGHT™ FOUNDATIONS

FLIGHT™ YOGA FOUNDATIONS will give you the strong foundation needed to be a successful practitioner or instructor. Discover the incredible feeling of being lifted from the ground and moving freely in all directions. Feel the power it will have in bringing both the mind and body into alignment with each other.

In this manual you will learn our signature floating salutations and many movements + postures in the hammock. We will show you how to utilize the hammock for everything from deep stretching to achieving more of the challenging yoga asanas. This introductory based manual will guide you on how to teach a foundational session that includes zero compression decompressions for the spine, philosophies, principles, and a well guided approach to teaching all the Flight™ techniques through the use of proper cueing, progressions, modifications and spotting. Get ready for take off!

This manual will provide guidance and direction in how to structure a safe and e ective FlightTM Aerial Yoga experience that will benefit both yourself and your students’ practice.

It is assumed that you are using this manual in conjunction with professional training pro- vided by the guidance, instruction, and supervision of FlightTM Aerial Yoga. If you are not enrolled in the teacher training program and have purchased this manual for your own personal reference and growth with FlightTM Yoga, it is strongly advised that you enroll in and complete the teacher training program with one of our master trainers or another reputable professional training program.

This practice involves inverting your body and lifting away from your connection with the ground; it is not something to be taken lightly. If your intention is to teach and guide others in a practice with this form of yoga, please seek the knowledge and understanding from trained professionals in order to provide the safest, smoothest, and most beneficial experience for other as well as yourself.

This manual was not designed or intended for use with a layperson or inexperienced in- structors. It is highly advisable that you obtain your 200-hour yoga teacher training certification before seeking to engage in guiding others through an aerial yoga practice.

All use and potential misuse of this manual is done so AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Although there is a chapter dedicated to discussing contraindications, if you or a student have any health concerns/conditions it is strongly advised to check with a licensed healthcare professional before engaging in a practice containing inversions and asanas that lead to pressure on various areas of the body. Practice and teach AT YOUR OWN RISK.
