Flight Yoga™ Teacher Training

with Flight Room director of programming Alexandra Sipe

April 20-21 & April 27-28
Green Lake Studio

Our full curriculum is covered over two separate weekends, allowing for ample “classroom” time and time spent practice teaching. We also offer a robust mentoring program with one of our senior teachers (matched based on class formats you’d like to teach) to ensure your success.

We have scheduled the sessions so that you can complete your full certification over two consecutive weekends (plus the three weeks of mentoring time.)

Students may also register for Part 1 as a standalone course if they’re interested in deepening their own practice as opposed to teaching right away.

PROGRAM SCHEDULE

Part 1: Aerial Yoga Immersion Weekend Course
April 20 & 21, 10am-7pm

Focus: We will explore the mind/body connection, basic anatomy, the science of stretching and strength building, foundational aerial yoga postures & building a movement vocabulary.

Part #2: “The Art of Teaching Aerial Yoga” Weekend Course + Three-Week Mentoring Program
April 27 & 28, 10am-7pm

Focus: We will work on creating and leading a dynamic, safe and fun all-levels aerial yoga class. Much of the time will be spent on practice teaching with plenty of feedback so you can refine your teaching voice.

Mentoring Program
The mentoring program consists of five shadowing/practice teaching sessions + two full length community classes you will teach for personalized feedback over three weeks. This will be scheduled based on your availability and you will be matched with a senior teacher based on the class formats you’re interested in teaching.

Total Program Investment (Part 1, Part 2 + Mentoring)
One payment of $1,995 or 6 payments of $379

Investment for Part 1 if registered as a standalone course
One Payment of $795

Receiving your certification in the Flight Yoga Method: you will receive your certificate following a successful full-length “test out” class. You are welcome to schedule this anytime following the second weekend course but, for most students, we strongly recommend continuing with the mentoring program before doing so.

Registration: you will be invoiced for a $150 deposit to reserve your space following registration and separately for your tuition based on your selected payment plan.

FAQs

What's included?
In addition to the two weekends of in-person days of instruction and the mentoring program, your tuition also includes a hardcopy teacher training manual and lifetime access to the full training in an on-demand online format that you can revisit again and again.

How experienced in aerial yoga do I need to be to attend?
While there is no minimum level of experience to attend, you should feel comfortable taking our level 2 classes and with basic inversions like hip hang and rope wrap.

Are you hiring for new teachers? How does the hiring process work?
YES! With four busy studios we are always looking to expand our team and our substitute teacher pool.

The “test out” class (to receive certification) is also an audition class for those who would like to be considered for teaching positions with Flight Room.

Can I use my certification elsewhere? Can I register with Yoga Alliance?
You can use your certification (including class templates) all over the world. We have graduates who are teaching online, at studios across the country and those who have opened their own aerial yoga studios!

Flight Room is not affiliated with Yoga Alliance or other registration body.
